Racepak Air Fuel - Wide Band O2

Racepak has an excellent selection of A/F controllers and sensors created specifically for tuning race engines. Each of these 2 and 4 channel controllers are designed to be connected to the V-Net cable of Racepak V-series recorders. All sensors have a 13” pigtail cable, and the controller has a 37” cable for attachment to the sensor. These lengths cannot be altered. Controllers are ordered by cylinder bank layout.

Racepak A/F sensors are compatible with either gasoline or methanol fueled engines. Gasoline application will display A/F ratios between 9.55:1 and 20:1, while methanol is shown from 4.22:1 to 8.7:1. Please specify the type of fuel you will be using when ordering. Each sensor includes one weldment and plug.

Rcaepak O2 sensor kits can be used with all Vnet products and can run on 12-18 volt battery systems.

Additional weld bungs & plugs as well as stainless bungs are available in single packs or any quantities.click here for O2 bungs & plugs in mild steel and stainless.

O2 Components

1. Sensor - is threaded into the header to get samples of exhaust.

2. Controller - receives the  the samples taken by the sensor converts them to fuel type and formats the info for the recorder. The controller also handles the heater circuit and calibrations.

3. Vnet connector - connects the O2 "system" to the recorder network (just like fuel pressure or boost)

Wire lengths:

1. Sensor - 12"
2. Sensor plug to controller - 36"
3. Vnet plug to controller - 16"
4. Power - 46"

Bung Installation

Bungs should be installed 12-15" form the flange
O2 bungs are to be welded in a primary tube 8-12" forward of the collector. Some racers get away wit using one a collector but usually will experience choppy readings at lower RPM.    Click to expand

Here is a link to a Vid showing where the guys with the unlimited budget put their O2 bungs http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=p53oEbTGJkU#!

Below is a set of Pro-Fab headers with the bungs about 3" from the flange.
